There is a great way to discover the Solow model besides using formula:

Step 1: Download the free WOLFRAM CDF player and install to your computer:

Step 2:
Open Alex´ contribution of a SIMPLE SOLOW MODEL:
http://demonstrations.wolfram.com/SimpleSolowModel/

Step 3: Click in the right upper box on "Download Demonstration as CDF" and the editable file will open in the player.

Then, you can easily modify depreciation rate, investment rate and technology and you get a visualized and adopting simple solow model.
This is great if you ask me as this gives you a visualized and playful access.
