How can I speed up or slow down videos?
YouTube has been experimenting with a new HTML5 version of its video player. Using this new version you can speed up videos to 1.5x or slow them down. You can opt-in to the trial with just a click, no downloading--some of you may already be in the trial and not know it. Once you are opted-in move the cursor near the bottom of the video, click the gear and you will see options for speeding up or slowing down videos.
How can I change the video resolution?
In order to make our material as widely available as possible the videos default to low resolution, 380p, but if you have good bandwidth we recommend bumping them up to 480p which will sharpen video and audio quality. On most platforms (not all) you can increase resolution by clicking near the bottom right of the video and then clicking the settings button
Can I use these videos in my own classes?
Yes, the videos are freely available for non-commercial use.
Why should I register?
Anyone can watch the videos without registering. Registering, however, will allow you to post questions, answers and comments and to upload new content. We also appreciate it when you register because by answering a few basic questions we can get an idea of who our audience is and how we should design future courses.
