Paul Romer

Paul Romer is an economist and professor at New York University. He's most famous as an architect of new growth theory, and this video discusses his 1990 paper titled "Endogenous Technological Change." Romer created a model for growth based on ideas, and later applied this theory when founding a startup, Aplia, which was an early development in online education. This video also discusses Romer's recent ideas on solving the "coordination trap" in developing countries, namely that of "charter cities."
